HVAC planning in Roseville

A single decade of explosive growth still defines most of the city's mechanical systems.

A City Built in One Population Boom

Roseville stayed a small farming community -- part of Orange Township, then renamed Erin Township in 1843 -- until 1950. What followed was a genuine population explosion: thousands of new residents arrived through the 1950s, and hundreds of homes went up in a short span, well before the Village of Roseville (chartered 1926) and the remaining township merged into the City of Roseville on December 31, 1958.

One Decade, One Duct Standard

Because so much of Roseville's housing dates to that single 1950s building wave, HVAC equipment and original ductwork across the city tend to share the same era's sizing and insulation assumptions -- useful context for planning a like-for-like replacement versus a full duct redesign.
